Heartland Youth For Christ
HYFC is a charity seeking to ‘take the good news of Jesus relevantly to every young person in the Coalville district’. The charity is directed by Tim Maycock, and the Committee of trustees is chaired by James Fox. The work includes schools, youth clubs, worship and evangelistic events and encouraging churches to work together and with young people. See links page for their website.
Matthew and Eluned Phipps
Mat and Elli are currently doing a 2-year degree in biblical and intercultural studies (concluding in July 2008), in order to be equipped for ‘long haul’ mission in European and Asian countries where the gospel is not being spread. They hope to share the gospel, disciple believers and build strong local churches in the years to come.
Nigel Roberts
Nigel is an experienced local missionary, committed to (in particular) seeing young people in the local area and throughout the country know God’s love. Nigel spent many years as director of local YFC centres and now works for British YFC (writing much of their schools work material), Tearfund, and in various other roles. He also speaks at governmental level (when God enables it) trying to influence our leaders with Biblical principles.
